Tow-Int-Tech Metabolic Treadmill for Rodents is an animal treadmill specially developed for the measurement of animal respiratory metabolism. The energy metabolism treadmill adopts a closed design, which can complete the measurement of oxygen consumption, CO2 production, and respiratory metabolic rate of animals during exercise.. The animal energy metabolism treadmill is the necessary experimental equipment for the research of animal physical endurance , sports injury , running nutrition , medicine , sports physiology and pathology.

It is controlled by a 7- inch touch screen, and the training mode and experiment mode can be selected , the current size of the electrical stimulation can be adjusted, and the channel can be shielded . The system automatically judges the animal's exhausted state according to the number of falls and the shock time .

Brief Operational Instruction

1. Small animals are first reared in the laboratory for a week or so to adapt to their living environment.

2. In the second week, treadmill adaptive exercise training (if there are test procedures, the following instructions can be ignored)

3. Usually the treadmill is set for slow exercise, with a set speed of 15-20 m/min.

4. In order to obtain better training results, different speeds can be set in stages; For example, the speed of the first 3 minutes is set at 5 meters/min, the speed of the second 3 minutes is set at 10 meters/min, the speed of the third 3 minutes is set at 15 meters/min, and the speed of the last 1 minute is set at 20 meters/min. Using this gradual training method, animals can adapt to the treadmill training rhythm faster

5. After putting the small animal in the cabin for one minute, start the equipment and adjust the stimulation current to about 0.8mA. When stimulated, the mice immediately jumped onto a moving treadmill and moved in the opposite direction. If the rat that jumps onto the platform doesn't run, it will be brought into the electrical stimulation area by the conveyor belt and hit again by the electrical stimulation, and it will jump onto the conveyor belt and run again.

6. During formal experiment, the researchers set the exercise speed and the slope Angle of the running platform according to the needs of the research project to carry out the animal exercise running experiment.
